Reseller web hosting involves purchasing host services wholesale from a primary provider and then sell it to others on behalf of the third party hosting service. The reseller has the option of possibly reselling shared hosting server sections or renting a dedicated server through a web hosting company. When the reseller wants to resell shared hosting services, they are given specific licensing permissions to sell a specific amount of bandwidth and disk space to the reseller’s customers instead of renting a complete server.
Typically, resellers of web hosting services are systems integrators, web developers and web design firms. Purchasing hosting space from a reseller may be the most inexpensive way to go, especially if you are a new entrepreneur. Most times, you will be going directly through the reseller. You will usually have no contact and may not even know that the reseller is renting space on primary hosting servers. These resellers will typically establish their own control panels choosing from one of the popular formats, their own brands and prices.
